Don't Believe the Media Hype!

Once again, the media is over generalizing and their information seems to be delayed—at least in regards to Real Estate. This week’s local news talked about the huge housing slump and reported that is only to get worse. Why that may be true in specific pockets or cities there are other areas around the Bay that are still on the rise and increasing in value. One in particular is San Francisco itself.

 

For example, I wrote an offer this last week on a property in SF that received 22 offers!! The offer I presented on behalf of my clients was in the top three. And while it did not win out for reasons specific to the seller’s situation, it was a VERY strong clean offer. At the end of the escrow period, I will let you know what the home went for. For now, simply be aware that there are highly qualified buyers out there and huge demand in certain areas.

 

Also, there is a town home community of Windemere in San Ramon that released its first round of homes earlier this month. They sold out immediately—selling over 30 town homes during the first launch. Buyers interested in the next release are now looking at a January ’09 move-in date!!
